Early reading is the strongest predictor of academic success. Children learn to read from all types of text, eg. labels at the supermarket, advertisements on buses, menus at the cafe etc. The best thing a parent can do is to create a positive emotional connection with books. To do that, I’ve curated fun titles I’ve read to my kids repeatedly in their early years. Hope these will launch them on their life-long reading adventure!
